Partner information and optional referral tracking

This notice supplements the existing site privacy notice for the N-o1 referral programme. Charles McGill operates the programme and determines the use of its records. Signed-in users can request an export or deletion through existing account controls. For other privacy enquiries and disputes, use the founder’s existing contact channels.

Applications and partner accounts

We store your authenticated account identifier, name, email, optional organisation, website/social URL, country, partner type, promotion explanation, acceptance date and terms version. These support application review, administration, agreed referral services and fraud prevention. Owner approval is required. We do not treat application acceptance as marketing consent.

Your optional referral choice

Opening a referral link alone does not create a visit record or set a tracking cookie. You can allow or reject referral tracking with equal access to the website. If allowed, we set n1_referral, an opaque, secure, HttpOnly cookie on this website’s host. Its matching server-side record contains a hashed token, partner identifier, destination pathname, consent version, referral date and expiry. Query strings, IP addresses, fingerprinting and cross-device identifiers are not collected by this programme.

The initial attribution window is 30 days; the owner can configure 1–90 days for new consented referrals. Existing cookie expiry is not extended by repeat visits. The first eligible referral is retained during that window. A link or referral on another browser, device or host is not reliably connected.

n1_referral_choice remembers an allowed preference until that referral expires, or a rejected preference for 30 days. You can use “Referral tracking preferences” to withdraw as easily as you consented. Withdrawal deletes the browser referral cookie and its server-side visit record and stops further attribution from it. Expired visit records are removed during subsequent referral-consent requests and excluded immediately from attribution. The preference cookie records your refusal after withdrawal.

Enquiries, commissions and retention

An eligible enquiry can retain its partner attribution independently of the browser so the owner can qualify the introduction and reconcile an agreed transaction. Such captured commercial records are separate from ongoing browser tracking; withdrawing tracking stops future tracking. For an existing enquiry attribution, privacy requests are reviewed individually under the applicable legal basis and any recordkeeping obligations, rather than treating tracking consent as permission for unrelated continued processing.

The programme stores the enquiry reference, requested domain, referral date and qualification status, then owner-confirmed qualifying revenue, currency, rate, commission calculation, refunds, adjustments, payout records and an administrative audit trail. These support agreed services, transaction reconciliation and financial recordkeeping. Records should be retained only for the relevant contractual, legal, accounting or dispute period; the owner must assess deletion requests and retention obligations. No indefinite tracking is intended.

Access and rights

The owner can access applications, attribution, financial entries and audit records. Partners see only their own programme status, domain-level referral outcomes and commission/payment history, without customer identities, confidential CRM notes or private negotiations. Existing hosting and authentication providers support the site; no new affiliate service or payment processor is added. The programme does not sell this information.

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. Tracking consent can be withdrawn without affecting access to the site. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

This is an owner-authored operational notice, not a statement that the programme has received professional legal approval. The owner remains responsible for appropriate privacy administration, retention and any individual commercial terms.
